Hi all, my son's Russian Land tortoise climbed onto an artificial plant in his enclosure and started "chirping". He has done this before but not often. There is only the one tortoise. What do you think this behavior means?

Oh my! I do believe he is making sweet love to his very special plant friend.

I think you have made a very tasteful pornographic video here. Very nice mood lighting, good angle. I suggest some appropriate music. Smooth jazz, perhaps?

Thanks LalaP. I believe you're right. When I first saw this behavior I was afraid he was sick or lacking nutrients. Now I think you're exactly right. What a dumb tortoise :).
