As I mentioned recently (maybe a week and a half- 2 weeks ago?) we introduced fast food (what I call store bought) to Odin's diet to gauge his interest and get him used to it just in case we run into a fresh food issue during our long Minnesota winters. I was of the mind that I would rather find out now if there would be issues with him being willing to eat it now when he has loads of fresh food available, than later if I happened to have a gardening catastrophe or just could't keep up with his appetite for whatever reason.
Anyway, we have given small amounts to him maybe 3 times in the last couple of weeks and now the last few days he has started just sitting at the dish we put it in and waiting. He is showing little to no interest in all the tasty grass and weeds we are growing for him, and he is just being an all around stubborn little grump!
My son was concerned but when I told him it was likely just a temper tantrum, like a toddler who is given a pork chop instead of a happy meal. I told him to stop giving him any of the fast food and eventually he will start grazing again. What do you think? Right advice? Be concerned? Give him a big mac?
