I have some great Art Bass & Yakov story's.

Picture Rob Roy, Art & Yakov in Colier Co. walking up to Rob's old van.

Yakov; What ya get?

Rob; Pigmy.

Yakov; Lets see, & proceeds to dump the pigmy into the palm of his hand & kisses it on the head. (Yakov had a thing for kissing snakes)

Rob; Art, Whats that in your bag?

Art; Diamond back.

Yakov; Lets see!

Art; You gime $100 first!

Rob; Come on Art!

Art; I seen what this putz did with that pigmy, I'll take the $$ NOW!

I think we're gona start a new thread!

My mistake people!
The name was "Uval" not "Yakov".
I'm not sure why I always refer to him as Yakov.

Tom, I got one sort of like that...
One time we were drinking beer and having a pizza at The Shed with Joe Beraducci. Barb and I were maybe 21 or 22 years old.
So we are sitting there at that table by the hot room when suddenly Ray Van Nostrand bursts in the front door with a snake bag and starts laughing and yelling at Joe, "Hey Joe! F*** you! Ha ha ha ha! F*** YOU JOE! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!" And then he takes the snake bag and dumps a three foot cottonmouth out right in the middle of the table we were sitting at and right on top of the pizza box. Ray starts laughing even more hysterically and runs out of the shop leaving us with the very P.O.d cottonmouth.
Actually, it was sort of funny but Barb was worried about cottonmouths with me as I had spent four days at Good Samaritan Hospital the year before after getting nailed on the hand by one. I had got some pretty bad serum sickness and they told me if I got bit again I couldn't get any more anti-venom.
So whenever we see Ray she relates that story back to him and says what a dork he was for doing that. He always smiles and claims not to remember it, which frankly is the funniest part of the story. He probably doesn't.

There is one other bad omission on that list. Our friend Fred Grunwald absolutely should be there too! I mean, if they have Steve Hill......

I agree COMPLEATLY!!
Fred is to this day 1 of my best friends & my partner with many animals.
I'm still trying to get him computer literate. He has the ON/OFF thing down fairly well, Next is e-mail & this here "INTERWEB"!
Someday maybe he will tell y'all about T_Mc / Scotch & back flips in his kitchen!
I think that's 1 of his kids favorites!

Lets do our own photo thingy of folks that didn't make the other one.

Oh noooooo! Fred drinks the same Busch beer in a can that I do when I'm canoeing!

I don't think many people outside of south Florida realize Fred's contribution to the knowledge of keeping crocodilians. Fred was doing what that goof Steve Irwin got famous for doing long before anyone knew how.
