I only have easterns, but so far I haven't seen any connection with turtle size and clutch size. My two biggest clutchers are not large, and my biggest female tends to lay only 3-4 eggs.

I wonder if locality has more to do with it. I imagine though, for a given locality, bigger females probably lay moe eggs then smaller females.

I have had anywhere from 1 to 5 eggs in a clutch. The larger of my TTBT's is the one who had 5 eggs. What is weird is she was at the vet 4 days before she laid and had some stitches and neither one of us noticed. She obviously was stuffed full of eggs. No wonder she was having some prolapse issues. Now that she laid them, she has never had a prolapse again. Ironic, huh! Hind sight is 20/20.
