opening thumbnails

Dear Abby:


I have a new computer and it's very, vary fast. So this is not my problem (I don't think).

If a post has more than one thumb nail in it they won't open for me. I click on a thumbnail, get the black screen and it just sits there. I don't have enough patience to wait too long...the longest I've waited is about 35-40 seconds. Should I keep waiting?

I've had this issue, too. My husband owns an IT business so I KNOW it's not my computer

What's weird is sometimes I'll go back to the thread and re-try the attachments and they open up almost instantly..

I experienced the same thing, close and re-try always work.

Me too! My son is an IT tech, so I too, know it's not my computer.

For me the larger the pic the longer it takes to open, I just tried to open a 3.3 MP size pic and it was so slow in opening I backed out. The smaller the pic the quicker it opens. I do have an ancient Dell though.

it happens with me too, so i just "right click" on the attachment and the choose "Open link in new tab"... i know it's tedious but i works...

This 'lag' you are experiencing could be due to your internet connection. Our image sizes are set rather high (so the barrier to uploading is lower) and so it may take a second for you to download a 5 mb file for example.
