Osmocote fertilizer

I just bought some succulants that were fertilized with osmocote and was wondering how long I need to wait before giving them to my torts

Depending on the type of osmocote...:rolleyes:
Discussions here have suggested waiting as long as a year...
Succulents, because of their thickened storage organs (leaves, stems) store large amounts of materials... there for I take cuttings of cuttings and grow them before offereing to my :tort:...:p
Transplanting into new soil, removing at much old soil as possible and then waiting for at least one growing season...

Osmocote comes in a time release fertilizer form...???
Check on that...
Other than that succulants store NPK in the fleshy leaves and stems...
Still recommend not using for at least one growing season...

Are you giving them as a part of their diet or simply wanting to place the plant within the enclosure hoping to someday feed some of it?

it is the slow release form....
thank you for the info, i will transplant them and wait a growing season.
