So, I finally finished our new indoor enclosure for our sulcata babies...Dudley and Delilah. I made it into a "Tortie Tiki" since we live near the beach and our whole house is very beachy inside. Do you think they will notice? LOL I love how they both had to check out the new ramp as soon as it was installed! So adventurous! We are already starting on our second enclosure so we can separate them. The enclosure is in our "Carolina" room...which is a room similar to a sunroom....extreme humidity and heat all day. I use a CHE at night. We are watching the humidity levels closely to make sure they stay high enough. I will probably have to add a top cover in the winter to insure things stay humid enough. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I am enjoying watching them explore their new space. For those that are interested....the large box is approximately 3' x 7', and 20" high. The smaller box mounted at the top is 18" x 24" by 8" high and is the enclosure that was given to us when we bought them from the breeder. We are using orchid bark as a substrate.

Looks great. Hope the humid room works out for you but I would be prepared to add a cover. Keeping humidity high, 80% at tort level in an open enclosure is really hard.

Yeah...we figure we will definitley need to cover it in the winter. We live in Myrtle Beach, near the water, so the humidity here in the summer is miserable. This is like a 3-season room, so it stays really wet out there during the hot months. We are keeping an eye on it though to be sure. I want to make sure my little rugrats get the best of everything. LOL We are starting on our 2nd enclosure this week (I read that it's not good to keep two sullys together), so once that is done, we will start working on a top for both.

Looks awesome! Love the lil tiki hut lol and i agree that you’ll prob have to cover it to keep the humidity.. heat lamps suck it right out. Great job though.. did you build it yourself?

Is it in a screen porch? Just bc the humidity outside is high, that doesn’t mean the enclosure mimics that. Looks good though.

My hubby and I built the large enclosure box together....and I built the hut and ramps myself. He is convinced I have lost my mind! LOL

No, it's a 3-season room attached to the house. It is mainly used for plants, etc....like a sunporch with walls. We are keeping a close watch on the humidity....I want to make sure my little rugrats have the best environment possible. :)

Wow! Looks awesome! You might think about an easy way to cover it with mini greenhouse you can find on Wayfair or amazon fairly inexpensive. Really love the ramp idea. Or at least cover the area up top where they sleep to ensure they get High humidity while they sleep

Great idea. I was thinking of making a simple wood frame around the top and stapling vinyl to it, but the mini greenhouse might be an easier solution. So far, the humidity is doing great in there....but winter will be here before we know it! LOL
