Here are some pics of our new pup, Chelsea. This is my wife's dog.
She's been wanting a GSD since her beloved german shepherd died about 10 years ago. Brittany was such an amazing Dog. When we got married and Brittany came to live with us, she quickly fell in love with me and practically worshiped the ground I walked on. I was clearly the Alpha in the family and she was very content with that. But she considered Becca as her pup. If you knew some of the background of Becca and things she went through growing up, you would realize how protective and sensitive Brittany is when it comes to Becca. So while she seemed to put me above Becca in the pack (Becca was a little jealous), Brittany always put Becca first when it came to protection. If I started wresting around with Becca in a fun way, and we started getting a little physical (totally in fun), it would not take long before I had a german shephard grabbing my arm in her mouth with a slight growl and look in her eyes that said I need to back off NOW. She would not bite down, just grab and warn me. It was simply amazing to see her stand up to the Alpha who she admired so much, but she did not hesitate to put her pup first when it mattered. She was a brilliant and well trained dog too. Becca worked hard with her as a teen and had some proffessional help in training. It was heart breaking when we finally had to put her down.
So now, after 10yrs, she has a new girl in her life and Becca is so happy.
The day we brought her home:
At the park:
At another park near the Puget Sound and the Tulip Festival:
Wrastl'n with a lab puppy:
The soft puppy fur is AMAZING - like a plush stuffed animal
