Hello, I have my sulcata and I wanted to make an outside enclosure for her/him to live when the weather is good, she is 5 inches and 492 grams. Where I live (Mexico city) the temperatures at this time of the year are:
Min. 57.20 °F (at 7:00 am)
Max. 84.20 °F (at 16:00 pm)

My questions are:
- are those good temperatures?
- is 5 inches a good size for her/him to live outside?
- is 492 grams a good weight?

An outdoor enclosure for a couple of hours a day would be good. That's too cold at night though. They do better inside until they are 8-10 inches. You can control the temperature and humidity better. Then with a heated night box, outside is good.

53 F is way bellow their standard temperatures. At least try to keep the tortoise above 65F (at least).

the bigger they get, the better they can withstand those temperatures, but at that age i'd suggest you make more heat available to the tortoise.
