How cold is to cold just to take Moses ( hatchling Sulcata) outside to get his daily dose of sun and exercise and how long should we stay outside. We have been going daily for 30 to 40 minutes. I live in Georgia and right now the temps are hanging around 60f but it will get colder soon.

I don't like my babies to get much colder than 75 degrees. If you have a sheltered spot out of the breeze and in the sun, 60 is probably ok, because it will be warmer in the sun.

I agree with Yvonne. I have a big black rubber tub that I use for sunning on the colder winter days. The surface temp of that rubber gets 85-90 on a 60 degree sunny day. I watch the temps and check them with a temp gun regularly on those days.
