Do tortoises get any uv rays when its overcast,the sun is coming out for a minute then it clouds over,or should i put their lights on,

Yes, even on overcast days you can still get the rays, which is why you can sunburn on cloudy days. Can clear something up for my simple mind? You said you would turn the lights on, does that mean they are inside and you would be taking them out if they could still get the rays otherwise they will be staying indoors today?

The russian stays out most of the time,i only bring him in when it gets really cold , the baby greeks come in at night,but i have a uv lamp i can take out and put in their enclosure if they needed it
