They are incredible well done, I imagine your husbandry skills are extremely good.

I was reading about Malacochersus tornieri the other day and was completely facinated.

The fastest tortoise in the world apparently the sprinter in the tortoise world. Also I found out why they are flat, so they can wedge safely into the crevises of large rocks and boulders in the kopjes they live on. This keeps them safe from predators.

So I got thinking, way too much as usual, and wondered if they grew up knowing the escape routes that were best suited to their size at any particular moment, Ie used certain well trodden paths through the generations. I mean imagine if a playfull though dangerous lion cub got interested...... two cenaarios come to mind for th tortoise getting stuck forever or dashing into a crevise only to find you cant??? Kopjes are also a favorite place for lionesses to give birth.

momo you have to switch the daytime and nightime temps if you want to get cuties!

http://home.earthlink.net/~rednine/loehr2.html

From 8:00 to 20:00 30-31C°
From 20:00 to 8:00 24-25C°

I use an incubator for chams eggs able to di that switch.

yes, i started when you told me to. i thank you for your help. by the way, strange question are you the tortoise farmer? do you know who it is? 'lol lindy
