Okay. So there's this disease German Shepherds could potentially experience called pannus. It's a disease that attacks the eyes due to Genetics, air pollution, blah, blah. No one really knows. Recently my German Shepherd started experiencing it June 8th. We've had multiple vet appointments. Same procedures, gotten an expensive examination, eyedrops, and a serum made from his blood. His vision is still deteriorating. I'm upset, angry and frustrated because there's nothing I can do. I have another appointment scheduled 8 days from now and that's not helping with my anxiety. This is a stretch, but if anyone knows anyone who could potentially help me, please reach out. I know there's no known cure, but surely there could be something to aid in partially saving my boys vision. I'm honestly broke. Planned on getting some female Russian torts to potentially breed next year, but now I can't afford them. Thanks in advance guys.

Working with your vet you can apply topical anti inflammatory medication. It supresses the immune system to the eye and reverses as much of the corneal changes as is possible.

That's what we've been doing

Were any of these vets an eye specialist? That's what you need.
Somewhat, but I see an Ophthalmologist next Wednesday with better equipment and more experience. Just seems like too long of a wait, but no choice.

Just for future reference. When there is a specialty vet, you are better off just sticking with them. The other vets are for the most part just treating the symptom not the problem.
Good luck. Sorry this happened.

Wellington is correct. You need to see a veterinary ophthalmologist for this condition. I am rather surprised one of the "regular vets" did not refer you to such a specialist right away. Or is it that they did so and you had to wait till the 10th for an appointment (though that does not seem to be the case).

I wish you good luck when you get to see the ophthalmologist.

Apparently they're really busy. That's as soon as I could get in. The first vet was lousy, but my new vet managed to get me an appointment. I got pushed up to tomorrow.

After an expensive trip, a few eye drops, and pills; King's eyes have improved rapidly. Looking forward to the next visit on how to proceed.
