So I bought my sulcata from a breeder(according to him) here. According to him, they have this farm where they breed tortoise. In the first time I saw him, interviewed and asked questions, I think he is reliable. Their family owned a petshop in town but sulcatas are by order. Meaning not in display or not in stock in the store.
When I bought my sulcata, he told me he(my sulcata) and the other hatchlings in the same clutch were already registered in our countries government department of natural resources where (registration)microchip was placed into each of them.
My questions are:
1. Do sulcatas need to be registered like dogs?
2. If so, what system, are paperworks invloved, or just microchip
3. If so, how can I be sure if I bought a registered sulcata by just being told so that it is "microchipped".
