Yes, I know there is a "for sale" thread, but I notice lots of neighbors here on this one. I'm in Phoenix, been "fostering" 2 desert torts for a friend, about ....9 months now? Anyway, she will be moving in May and taking her little buddies back. Meanwhile, I have grown so attached to them.... Ive learned all I can learn, built several burrows, a water pavilion, planted several plants.... I have really enjoyed these guys and honestly did not expect her to want them back so soon.
SO-

Anyone in the Phoenix area looking for a caring home for their desert torts?

I'm not sure about near Phoenix, but I know the San Diego Turtle & Tortoise Society does adoptions of desert tortoises. For some reason I remember there being a lengthly process involved. May have to live in California to adopt. I'm not sure, but would be a good place to ask. If they can't help you, they would probably know someone in your are who could. Hope that helps. You can't take the out of the state, but I bet you have rescues in Phoenix.
