An indoor enclosure would be much safer. As for the sunlight, well, I take Oli (my beloved Greek tort) out for "walks" when the weather permits. He seems to love it!

Oh yes......we have indoor enclosure all set up and have been testing lights for a week to make sure they are right. This will be his regular home. I'm just asking because we'd like to take him outside a few tiems a week. How do you go on "walks" or do you mean you put him on grass and then just walk with him wherever he goes (this is kind of our plan for now)?

Yes, but unfortunately there is not grass, here. :( I place Oli :<3: on the pavement and obviously in the sun, and he begins to roam around happily.:D I stand by him like a bodyguard! ;) Imagine the patience required here.

Such a funny, and fun, visual! We have both grass and pavement. Just don't have lots of weeds growing, so went to store last night to buy kale, endive, raddichio, and leaf mix. Was excited to see that our grocery store actually carried organic dandelion leaves, too!

You are lucky to have both, (grass and pavement). Unfortunately Jordan is scare in WATER therefore growing plants in general is extremely difficult. Still, I believe any pet should go out for a "walk" when the weather is fine, don't you?
