Pineapple is my 1.5 yr old sulcata. He is still only about 5” long so the tent is too keep the humidity up and the dog out.

Enclosure is 4x8 and he an outdoor pen in the warmer months. I am planning on putting in deeper bedding at somepoint and removing the hay. Anything else i should do to make him more comfortable for the winter?

For sure remove the hay asap. It should not be used as a substrate.
If you are using a mercury vapor bulb, those are no longer recommended. They don't give out good UV and are too decimating on the shell and can still cause pyramiding even in the best humidity.
Use an incandescent flood bulb instead for basking and a tube florescent for uvb.
As long as the temps day and night are 80F and basking with the flood is 95-100 and humidity is 80% and the hay is removed, I think the rest looks fine. Except I don't see a water dish? He needs one, a clay saucer, big enough for him to get fully into.

Thanks! Will replace everything with orchid bark, how deep should it be?

Bulb is good, has a water dish on the other side, temps are good as well as humidity.

I'm not sure for Sulcatas. They like to burrow in. I have leopards and they don't.
I think 4 inches likely is enough. See what others say.
