Does anyone know what these plants are? Are they safe/ good for a Russian Tortoise?

I’m really interested in what number 2 is as I have lots of that in the field at the back of my house.

1. Can't remember but Joe ignored it in our garden (and he's 24x7 outdoors)

Thanks Linda. Is the dead nettle a stinging one, don’t want to put my hand on it if it does lol

Dead nettle is so called because it doesn't sting. The ones with white flowers and hairy leaves are the painful ones, but they are safe to feed too


A word of caution, red deadnettle looks very similar to Henbit. Henbit should only be fed sparingly. They have slightly different leaf shapes. The Tortoise Table plant database page for Henbit is here and includes a photo of red deadnettle for comparison.
