Dead nettle is so called because it doesn't sting. The ones with white flowers and hairy leaves are the painful ones, but they are safe to feed too :)


A word of caution, red deadnettle looks very similar to Henbit. Henbit should only be fed sparingly. They have slightly different leaf shapes. The Tortoise Table plant database page for Henbit is here and includes a photo of red deadnettle for comparison.
