Plant Identification help please

The picture shown is an odd little plant that has been growing steadily in my planter (not my my own doing) and I have no idea whether to keep it for my tort (when I get them) or get rid of it.
Any ideas?

You can use an app on the iPad/iPhone called garden compass. I'd wait for flowers to show before sending a photo
