We moved to this house the end of January and decided not to plant summer grass but we now want to plant winter grass. Does Jericho need to be kept off the area we seed or will he leave the seeds alone?

This is a great question. I'd be concerned that your tortoise would eat the sprouts as soon as they appear, removing the chance of the cover even growing in the first place. Also, I'd recommend using an organic seed, not treated with anything to help it grow.

We have tall grass along the sides and front so I would hope he wouldn't eat the new blades... If he ate the seeds do I think he would get sick?
