Found in the middle of the road and to be run over. Doesn't really look native to the state. Thanks!

I just want to say you did do the right thing. You removed the turtle from immediate danger. I went through a similar thing this summer with a Midwest Paint. If you just remove them from the road and move them Roadside...they will just walk across the road again. Roadkill. It was so neat when she(the Midwest Paint) was released the next day. It was within a few feet of the dangerous area. She came up and scratched at my front door, played in my flower bed for awhile, then headed back home to the river.
