Hello everyone,

I haven't been on here in quite sometime. Life has been keeping me too busy.

The tortoise rescue I work with got in these two lovelies recently. I want to make a positive ID so I can ensure proper care. I think the black and grey is a Hermanns and the Yellow and black one is a Tunisian Greek. Am I correct? Once I have the ID, I will do more research here on the care of each.

Thank you for your help.

Of you can help me determine the sex as well, that would be great. I'm not good at that yet.
First one is a marginated tortoise, testudo marginata, second is an Ibera Greek, testudo graeca Ibera. They both look female.

The marginated looks like it has MBD as well, so look out for problems with walking, and be sure ti supplement with calcium in addition to lots of good UV/access to sunlight.

Thank you. They were purchased at a reptile show in Arlington, TX 2016. The buyer was told they were a golden Greek and a Hermann. They were surrendered to us two days ago. Thank you for the help.
