I just read that pothos could be toxic! I have one in my redfoots enclosure and he just recently started munching on it! I could have sworn it was on the ok list! Should I remove it?

I put the Pothos in my redfoot's enclosure, and sometimes he bites the leaves, no problem at all.

Many of the members use or have used pothos. Never heard of them being toxic and never heard of anyone having a problem with them.
The gardening crap you can read on the Internet is confusing...as a matter of fact, just yesterday I read that pothos is toxic to humans...I've always used it in my enclosures, now I can use it to get rid of my roommate...lol (kidding)

Pothos is high in oxalate crystalls. They cause swelling and irritation in mammals but not harmful for tortoises. So it should be safe independent of tortoise species (not as a staple feeder, of course).

Some other plants like elephant's ear (native to Redfoots range) or buttercups (native to Russians range) are mildly poisonous and, perhaps, there are some adaptations across tortoise species.

I use it with my box turtle. No issues.

Pothos is not toxic to any tortoise species. Been using it for a few years now and all my species eat whatever they can reach. It's one of the natural foods for Solomon Island skinks. I feed it to mine occasionally.

My tortoises, fish in my ponds and Chameleons all eat (have eaten) Pathos.
The only thing I can think of that might be somewhat dangerous are the tiny, new plants bought at the store that contain systemic pesticides.
Certainly if you re-plant them, the new growth would soon be safe. And that won't take long at the rate these things grow!
I've seen some with leaves at least 20" wide. They can be a really good source of shade and some snacks and require very limited light or watering.
I'm a big fan.
Same with Kudzu plants if you live in the southeast.
