I know fresh out of the garden dandelions are best but I live in a very agricultural area, sometimes you can taste the pesticides in the air. Not to mention the rats peeing everywhere and the diseased wild rabbits pooping on everything. I worry my little dinosaur would catch some nasty disease. I was actually looking for bunny food when I found this:

Any thoughts? It's dried so I doubt it has as much goodness as fresh but I figure it'll still taste nice. Don't be afraid to tell me if it's not safe, the bunny will love this if she can't have it!

You can buy it, but whether your tort will eat it is another matter. Joe won't touch it. and I have tried repeatedly. He would rather eat nothing at all than dried dandelion. I can always get other greens, so it doesn't worry me.

I'd be willing to try it once.. health food stores sell fresh probably cheaper than this.. might be bitter.. I've always heard the older the plant the more bitter the taste. if they won't touch it might want to put some diced pineapple and a little juice in a Ziploc bag with this and shake it all together to intensify and sweeten the flavor

It depends on your tort. Many species eg Testudo (Greek, Russian, etc), Leopard, Sulcata... cannot digest sugars properly so this would not be appropriate for them.

Maybe if you rehydrated it, it may be more palatable to your tort but don't know for sure how well you could do that. I've read that people soak dried grass so may be worth a try.

The natural nutritional value is readily available and accessible in foods that are fresh. Packaging and processing destroy what is natural and valuable.
We take grain and mill it to make bread which destroys the naturally occurring vitamin and mineral content. Then we process it and try to replace what
is missing by "fortifying" it with artificial ingredients. That's why stoneground is preferable to milled bread.
There is no substitute for natural graze like dandelion, plantago (the plantains), clover and other naturally occurring "weeds".

Hi. Can't you go for a walk on any of the rivers in Suffolk. River ore. River alde. The stour. To collect weeds. There must be plenty of areas near you where they don't use pesticide's. Hope this helps.
