Hello!

I’m planning on giving Jet some pumpkin tomorrow for a Halloween treat and was wondering if it could be one of the mini pumpkins they sell, and I can’t seem to find any that are organic but I’ll keep looking... just wanted to verify that pumpkin is all good!

Happy Halloween!

You can try, but don’t be surprised if your tortoise refuses to eat it.

Tortoises can be be very cautious about trying new foods - they know what they like and they like what they know.

I just wash off the pumpkin with water and then plop it in the enclosure.

For smaller tortoises, I grate the pumpkin with a cheese grate and mix it in with some good greens. For larger tortoises I offer large chunks and let them have at it. For the big sulcatas, I just give them whole pumpkins.
