Pyramiding

I have another newbie question. I realize how very obvious pyramiding looks but what about the less obvious or just beginning? I have seen a couple of posts where people have commented on pictures with "starting to pyramid already" and I can't see what they are looking at, I have attached a couple pictures of my baby's shell.maybe I am just worrying too much.

Yours looks very smooth to me. Pyramiding is the raising of the scutes. Like on yours the scute is the lighter areas between the darker brown outline. Sometimes the angel of the pic will make it look raised and sometimes it makes it look smooth when it isn't. Keep up a good diet, humidity very important and your should keep growing smooth.

When we refer to being able to see pyramiding starting you can see that previous growth lines are raised and/or you can see a deep groove between the scutes.

You baby is exhibiting neither at this time.
