Quarantine time?

What is a good quarantine time ? I have heard any where from 2 week's to 6 month's:) Also I have a 6' table that I was going to divide in half one side for quarantine the other for tort's I have now or should I put my new one in my smaller table by itself ?

I was also just wondering this myself as i have a 6' table myself and was thinking about getting another russian

Corey,I would recommend a month in a seperate enclosure.Practice good hygine when caring for both-wash your hands in between handling both.Have the new arrival checked by a vet and have a fecal exam done to check for parasites.

I'd use two tables and seperate the two tables by at least 6' (and having each in a seperate rooms is even better), and be fanatical about washing your hands when handling one or the other.

Different opinions on quarantine time spans, but at least 30 days.

No downside to being too careful.

Thank's guy's :) I just set up my smaller table for him in another room:) vet on Friday got my antibacterial gel near both tables it's going to be a long month cant wait to put them together. Ill post some pic's tomorrow after he settles in:D
