question about shells ..

My tortoise Ophelia, has white lines in the grooves between the raised parts on her shell. IM asking about this now because I noticed today that it has progressed and is a lot brighter in color from when I bought her.

If this doesn't make sense, I can post a photo.

If anybody has any information about this please contact me, im concerned

There's no need to be concerned. That's just the new growth. What you are calling the "raised parts of her shell," don't grow. The shell gets bigger because they put out new growth between those raised parts.
