Do young tortoises tails grow at the same rate as there shells. As I have 2 TG Iberas which shells are shaped differently as if they are male and female and also there tails are different one is thinner which ends in more of a point and the other is fatter and more circular at the end but they are pretty much the same length.
Any ideas?

Sounds as if they may be different sexes. Pictures speek volumes got any?

Thats ashame. Everyone in my area seems to have males even though they were bought from different breeders. Is it true that the temperature that they are incubated at can affect the sex?

Yes the temperature the eggs are incubated at does affect sex. 30.5C will get you a 50/50 mix of the sexes. Higher temperatures, to 32C, will get more females and a lower temperature, to 28C, will get more males.
