What's normal for poop? Do they go every day? I was just soaking her and got a bunch of white stuff, instead of the black/green she has been having. We've only had her a couple of days, but I want to make sure we don't do anything to hurt her.

The white stuff is urates. Normal in sulcatas, but also says she may have been a little dehydrated if there was a lot. Keep water available 24/7 and soak her in warm water every day, even twice a day for about 20-30 minutes. they don't always poop every day. My leopard poops every other day like clock work.

Thank you. She went ahead and pooped after passing the urates. I soaked her yesterday and today. And I have a terra cotta dish with water out for her. I'll keep soaking her every day for a while.

How old is she? If,she is under a year old, she should be soaked every day. At a year, you can cut back to every other day or 3-4 times a week. But still keep up the humidity and maybe even mist a time or two during the day. If you haven't yet, check out the sulcata threads at the bottom of my post. They will help you raise a smooth tort. The leopard one is great too, the two species are pretty much raised the same.

I don't know how old she is. I rescued her Thursday. She was dumped in a tub on a cool day. My guess is she's over a year since she weighs about 20 pounds.

Does anyone have a guess on how old she is? She's 12 inches long.

I included a couple of pics. Outside exploring, and passed out after her exercise. I swear you could hear her snoring. :)

The kids have named her Myrtle.

Did I say Thursday? I meant Tuesday. I got her Tuesday. Sheesh. You would think I would know the days of the week by now. On a side note...she really likes kale.
