Put together a nice little "short duration outdoor enclosure" for my Redfoot.

Used all stuff I had around the house: a small plastic pool, a couple leftover fence boards, and some chicken wire.

Substrate inside is a mix of organic topsoil, cypress mulch, and sphagnum moss. There's a couple hides, a shallow tray of water, and a couple of lots to break up the sight line.

Some raspberry and a fern provide a little greenery nearby, and a slight amount of extra cover. 20200920_161750.jpg20200920_164532.jpg16006459427123032152558206475818.jpg

Been there.
Grab a screwdriver or something and poke about 100 holes in that pool so that when it rains it doesn't become ....A pool.
I just about drowned a tortoise that way.:)

Good call. No rain here for a while, but it will be in the path of the sprinkler.

Thanks all.

This winter/spring a new permanent outdoor enclosure with misters and a heated house will be constructed.
