Hi all,

Here's the enclosure for my 5" radiated and a soon to arrive 6" platynota

Container is from ikea, n lined with newspaper.
Then I use a mix of coco coir, sphagnum moss and coco chips as substrate.
Humidity seems to hover around the 60-70 range. Constructive criticisms welcomed!

I really like those containers. In my opinion, you need to get rid of the newspaper and add more substrate. I think the tortoise should have about 3" of substrate to nestle down into. Then, with more substrate, you can sink the feeder and waterer down into the substrate and it will be easier for the tortoise to access. I also think you should figure out a way to hang the lights. Those clamps sometimes fail and might cause a fire.

Thanks Yvonne, that made sense. I've removed the newspaper and fixed the lights. will add more substrate over the weekend!
