Rascal hatched in November 2009 so he's a tiny little thing. Thanks for his compliment. We all think he's adorable too!

Rascal is so adorable and I love his enclosure. He looks like a little peanut in there. Is the water dish too deep? Is that why you have stones in there? So cute.

So cute :) And you've don a great job with his home.

I may be wrong, but for my little sullie, I keep the sustrate more moist than what yours looks like. I'd look at pouring about a glass of water a day in the hide areas at least. Maybe mix in a little bit of soil.

The pebbles in the water will eventually get annoying to clean... And I think it would be better if the tort can acually climb into the water and soak. As long as he can easily get in and out.

Thank you for the advice. I'm learning so much on this forum! i've recently removed the pebbles (w/out my son looking b/c he insisted they be in there) from the water dish and i've added a humid hide that rascal LOVES burrowing in. everyday Rascals home and diet are improved b/c of this site. i love it here! :)

What is that cool beans grass-like plant in the corner?

It looks so healthy and un-mauled. ;)

Is it there for him to eat?

I was actually trying to find a project for him so I grabbed some cat grass from the pet store but also planted some parsley in there. He doesn't eat the cat grass but loves parsley so now he has to work for it and he LOVES it. He climbs in there and pushes all the grass away to get to his fave herb. I hate being bored so I don't want any of my babies bored either! lol
