Red Foot Size? Help!

I have a smaller red foot tortoise and I was wondering how tall he'll get when he's older. I guess I'm asking how tall should I build his new outdoor enclosure (It will have a screen lid so nothing will get him).

If he were full grown and standing up tall on all four legs, I doubt he'd be a foot tall. Then you want the light at least another foot higher than that. I would say if you make it 3' tall you'd have playing-around room.

Oops! Sorry...I just re-read your original post. You're wanting to know how tall to make your OUTDOOR walls. No light involved. You can go quite a bit shorter in this case. I have YF tortoises outside, and their walls are only about 17" tall. With a screen cover, you'll need it taller so you can accommodate some plants in there.
