( please forgive me to those that have seen this hatchling before )

I mentioned in the first screamer thread about a 'red' screamer next.. the hatchling below shows the "truer" colors than the pics from today.

An '07 hatchling at a few weeks old.. still had egg-tooth -

The most incredible thing about this one? How many times have you seen "solid bars" over the eyes and how about the "mirror-image" patterns on the nose and solid color all over his head?.. ( this was not a very good shoot.. the flash 'washed-out' the colors - you never know about lighting )

He was so excited about the yellow hibiscus bloom that it took 61 shots [ literally ] to get a half dozen that were even close to showing his real look..... he just wouldn't sit still! He was goin' to town on that bloom!!!

Nothing left but the stem -

Beautiful tortoise and great pics. I like how you point out specific details not common in the species. Having only 2 redfoots for about a year now, they are not a species that I know alot about and I appreciate the pointers on those "little" details. Well done.

Thanks Paul.. this is what I do. And I've never hatched a 'platy.. either.

This year has created a few "not common" ones - a couple weeks old - something about the yellow contrast... virtually NO "red-tint" anywhere!

Symmetrical patterns [ crazy pattern on top of head ] have always gotten my attention.. just not that common -

Thanks all...
