i was just wondering when they do what kind of animal protein do you give your redfoots? i know hard boiled egg yolk and some people use cat food but what else?

I use a tiny bit of high quality dog food. Primarily because I always have it around. I have a dog. I'll use the moist can food as is or toss some dry food in with Mazuri and soak it. Holistic food made by NUTRO.

I use boiled chicken, hard boiled eggs once in a while, bugs more so in the spring/summer months, and then they get some protein from pellet food.

mushroom's don't carry animal protein they're not very nutritious at all just a filler
They have plant protein in them. I also use Mazuri

Tuna, worms, eggs, mushrooms.
This is what I use, as recommended by Terry Kilgore ( Turtletary.com). I rehydrate it, add fruit and sprinkle with calcium.
do they actually eat it? everyone keeps saying mushroom's but that's not animal protein that's plant protein right?
My Redfoots go nut's when they smell the cat food soaking in water. All 7 love it.

i thought mushroom's would be plant protein and i was right for once! lol thank's i'll try it out
