So I was working out in the Redfoot pen today digging out a new area for a water feature and inadvertently scooped up a shovel full of six eggs. I had no idea they were there until I dropped the dirt and eggs rolled out. I candled them and they appear to be fertile. I can see veining and a darker area near the bottom. So the question is does the tortoise develop on the bottom of the egg or the top? Just wondering which side I should mark as up when I put them in the incubator. Not sure I have high hopes for them, but I'm certainly not gonna toss them out. Any wisdom out there for me?

You should be able to see the air space. That would be the 'up' side.

I don't see any air space, not sure they're far enough along. They glow pink, there is veining, and a darker mass on one side which I am assuming is the tortoise embryo. Right now I've got that side down since I'm assuming based on other clutches that the tortoise develops on the bottom. But just wanted to make sure.

That sounds like good logic to me.
