i am looking to redesign my redfoots current habitat. she is about 6" long and i keep her in a 4-5 foot diameter pool i got at petsmart. what substrate recommendations would you guys make for redfoots? i know they need higher humidity than the desert torts, but i am unsure of how humid to make it.

thanks in advance for any replies/ideas.

Thanks Cam and Anj!

My turtletary site / Caresheet actually was the forerunner of this site.. designed to care for different ages.. http://www.redfoots.com/redfoot.htm

Hope this helps!

Petsmart has proven once again that they have no idea how to care for redfoot tortoises!

Get a 2x6 bookcase and lay it on it's back and put a hinged plexi lid on it. Then go with this model.. http://www.redfoots.com/yenclose.htm

They are much more active with ambient temps in the mid-80's.

Let us know how you did please?

Terry
