Redfoot needs beak trim help.

My largest female Redfoot, Bertha had been sick and had eaten almost nothing but some liquid through a stomach tube for almost a year.
During this time her upper beak has grown long and kind of hooked like a bird. Now she makes a pretty loud clicking sound when she eats and you can see that it is because of the way her jaws meet.
I know that she needs a trim, just not how I'm supposed to trim an uncooperative, strong and healthy adult.
Should I consult my vet or is this an easy thing to do?

Thanks. I've got a Dremel that would do the trick, but she won't allow it.
I'm making a vet appointment. She seems to think that anesthesia might be required.

I'd wait until you get some responses from here. I saw a thread where @yvonne was showing how she tweaked the beaks. Can't find it now.
