Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much a vet would charge for a beak trim? My tortoises under beak needs trimming / filling down and I’m not confident enough to do it myself lol. Thanks in advance

Can you post pics of the overgrown beak?

A few of my rescues have come with significantly overgrown beaks, but the simple addition of rough feeding tiles (from Home Depot) helped them wear their beaks down naturally over time.

I've heard about people using those scissor-like toenail clippers to clip tortoise beaks down to nearly normal levels, then letting the tortoises natural activities wear it down the rest of the way.

Place a few flooring tiles rough side up or, if you have a very large enclosure, place a few flat cement pads in there for the tortoise to walk across and eat off of.
Most nail and beak trimming will be done naturally
