I went to a large petstore that has taken in several rescued Sulcatas. While their care isn't there quite what it should be, it certainly appears better than where they must've been rescued from (or some of them, at least).

In order to offset the cost of food, people can buy a small bag of greens from the store for a dollar, and hand feed the Sullies. They came up to people and nicely ate the greens that were held out for them.

My girl, Pepper, who is now 12 inches and 10 lbs, would NEVER do that. I try to hold food out to her and she rams my hand. As long as my hand is in her enclosure, she will chase and ram it, trampling her food. She's not so sassy when she's outside, but is quite the booger when she's got to be inside. My son tried to "keep his ground", holding his hand out to her and letting her ram him (instead of pulling away like I do). She was able to scratch up his hand with the front of her shell.

Is there any hope of ever having her eat nicely out of my hand like those at the petstore? Yah, it's cute now but I don't really want her to have this attitude problem when she's 100 pounds!

Also, here's some pics of the Sullies at the store, just for your interest!
