I just thought a reminder might me in order to take advantage of the alarm feature on your wireless remote thermometers. Most of them have them where you get a chirp at a predetermined temp. ,( too hot or too cold) at the base unit that is located next to you're couch in the house.

Hey, thanks Cowboy Ken. I've been wanting to get one of these. Where can I buy one?

Radio Shack has got expandable ones. First package you get base unit plus 1 remote. You can add up to 3 more remotes. Not sure of price though.

You can try radio shack. They have an expandable one that expands up to four remotes.

My bf is building a similar type thing for her new enclosure.. But it will have display lights on the enclosure letting us know if humidity is too low, temp is too low, or temp is too high. But when temp gets too high it will kick off the lights that put out the heat and turn on some computer fans, and if temp is too low it will turn on the lights and maintain the heating rope. Really hoping it all works out! We'll be doing test runs without her in it just to be safe. But having an alarm near the couch or whatnot is a good idea too!
