So the pet shop my parents in law got my daughter's 2 RES had told them they were both female. Mind you they were both only 1 1/2 inches long at the time. I'm starting to suspect one is male however. He's about 4 inches long, has really long front claws, a long thick tail, and the cloaca(sp?) is about in the middle of the tail. The other one is about 3.5 inches long, has a short skinny tail and short claws all around. Is there a clear difference between the sexes? And at what size do they begin breeding?

With RES aslong as they are of decent size they can be easy to sex. Males have longer tails than the females. It's quite noticeable, or atleast I think it is.
