Man some people why would you spend the money and buy a animal. And not take care of it or not do the research so the animal ends up looking like that poor little guy good thing it found someone who cares so it can live well now i think people who miss treat animals should be hit in the head with a hammer. Sorry for the ranting. But man i have not had tortoises long but i have been keeping reptiles. For years i have snakes they say only live for 8 to 10 years. For 15years and i spend a lot of time finding out all the info. That i can so my torts don't end up like this i say that makes me sick and the poor tort can't. Help him self so again good thing he found you

It blows my mind how resilient SOME tortoises are. It's quite obvious that Martha had very poor care by her first keeper, and yet she survived. And we have new members on the forum every day trying to do right by their new little tortoises who eventually end up dying.

I love Martha's head coloring. Allegra, is she the same species (from the same area) as your other tortoises?
