We picked up a female Russian from this same person a few weeks ago. He contacted us last week to ask if we would take this girl off his hands. As soon as I got her home I put her on paper towels to test her stool. I was shocked when I saw how many worms she was infested with. From what I could tell they looked like pinworms and our vet confirmed. Well after almost a full week of treatment, her stool is looking much better. I 'scoped a stool sample this evening and saw no worms and no eggs. Besides the obvious pyramiding, she's off to a great recovery. She was being fed iceburg lettuce with no supplementation. She is now destroying mazuri, opuntia, and greens. Here is our new little leopard tort, Sahara.

Even with the pyramiding, she is a pretty tortoise. Sounds like she is set for a better life.

that is a gorgeous leo! when i was interning at a zoo near me for college, some lady dropped off a huge redfoot with a horrible URI and said she didnt know why his mouth was always open and when testing his stool it was also infested with worms.

She is stunning with the way she steadily seems to get darker as you move back on her body. Sounds like both of you are very lucky. I look forward to seeing more pictures of her in the future as she grows.
