My mum has said that your all wrong and said that i am over reacting. That i should listen to my teacher and family members about tortoises. Because they have had tortoises and they know what there on about. But clearly they don't because i listened to there care tip and this got my into this problem. But i said that you guys on here know more and that your all breeders or owned them for a long time, your all right and i will try anything to get him better. I will buy him all the stuff he needs with my own money and do better by him. Its not right that they wont sort him out and its up to my step dad if we take him to the vet. But he said he is fine but he is not. He is still moving and is eat a bit now and that's good. He is still making strange noises and you can here it if you put him next to your ear. I am lost on what to do he is no longer on the syringe method and he eats his ccf on a dish on his own if he wants it. I feed him some lettuce , kale and water cress.

Thanks for the pictures they’re actually super helpful! This is a really nice space you’ve created, with the right tweaks it will work wonderfully!
First up, with the clamps they’ve been known to fail and fall into enclosures, so I’d get them hung safer, some folks use chain, some use clothing line, you can screw hooks into the stands to achieve this

Are the stands fixed in place? If not I’d consider moving the basking one over slightly towards the one end, and use that one to also mount the t5 tube uv when you get it, that way the basking and uv will be close to one another. Now again to mount uv, if the stand height it good, you can mount it straight on, if not, get a piece of timber, mount it onto that, put screws in the back and use chains to hang it from the stand

Id then move the other stand so it’s more in the middle and hang a CHE(ceramic heat emitter) from it, ran on a thermostat 24/7, place the thermostat probe in the corner of the cooler end. Next to the ceramic id hang an led light too to help keep the enclosure well lit(run ambient lighting and basking light on same 12-14hour timer)

Don’t worry too much if you can’t move the stands, mount how I’ve suggested anyway, the reason I say to have ceramic in the middle though is for a more even heat distribution of a night time.

Then see if you can get your hands on a greenhouse topper for the entire thing, this will help get your humidity where needed and help retain your heat, if you’re struggling for sizes, perhaps this thread can give you some other ideas for a top(just make sure the cover isn’t touching any light fittings!)

Substrate wise I can see it’s some sort of soil and beech wood chips, I’d suggest getting that switch to coco coir and/or orchid bark.

Once those changes are made, you can rest assured growth with be smoother and once temps are up baby can start to get better❤️
