Rubbing shell against corner of hide

I've been noticing Isis standing in the entrance of her hide rubbing back and forth against the edge, almost as if she has an itch. Any thoughts?

Tortoises do have feeling in their shells. And I imagine it might be a bit itchy in between the scutes where the new growth occurrs.

Yes it is exactly like that! Good to know it's not just her!

I figured she was probably scratching an itch, I knew they had feeling in their shells and have seen her get all happy and relaxed when my boys "pet" her. She just goes at her hide with such intensity I wanted to make sure she wasn't trying to tell me something. :)
