Hi my russain tortise has recently gotten a tiny bit of shell rott on his Plastron I am gonna be taking him to the vet on the 8th, his substraight was a mix of coco core an safe to use bark his cage has been maintained well, a bit ago I did have to switch up stuff he spilt his water allot without me realizing it in the corner of his tank and it created issues maybe this being a stemmed issues from when I correct the last problem, I am thinking of creating an excavator clay tank for him, an make it so he has a in ground real sinario burrow to get into, I just wanna know other people's opinions, all input is good, thank you.

First if you are taking your tort to a vet for the shell rot, don't. Most vets have no clue how to care for a tortoise and usually do more harm then good
Clean the area and apply over the counter athletes foot cream daily after a daily soak.
In the mean time post pics of the plastron so we can confirm it's rot. A pic of the enclosure, size and age of tort, and list all temps, diet, equipment using.
The top of the substrate should be dry to barely damp while the underneath is more wet to hold the humidity up.
