There may be some that were laid earlier this summer that haven't hatched yet, but this is the first time I spotted one of them in the process of laying. For now They will remain where they are.Picture 033 copy.jpg these were taken about an hour apart, Picture 040 copy.jpg

Spectacular, so have you caught any little guys walking around yet? Or do you leave them to winter themselves?

Cool, but I don't get the beach part? Hope you find some hatchlings soon.

Haven't seen any yet Kelly, This is the first year in this area, I kept an eye on the area where they were last year for any youngsters that may have over wintered there. I had 2 females stay out last winter only because I couldn't find them to bring them in. This will be my 3rd winter keeping russians and feel a little more confident with them spending winter outside in this location, drier and more direct winter sun than the old enclosure. Barb if you ever visit here, you will understand the beach thing.
