Russian enclosure

Hello, I was wondering how you guys feed your tortoise, like do you feed it once a day or twice or maybe like me, feeding it when it empties its bowl of food

I don't feed my Russians. They live outside and can forage and browse for themselves. I will occasionally toss them a branch (with leaves) off the mulberry tree, or a branch off the grape vine.

I hand feed Oli as he refuses to eat alone. (He's very spoiled I know!) I therefore have to keeping checking if he's hungry. At the same time there's always food in his enclosure.

I feed once a day. I do have things for him to eat, but he hasn’t started yet.
